Who We Are

Our History

Founded in 1993, DEM Manufacturing began by upgrading commercial-grade radio components to meet military and firefighting standards. Over the decades, we have evolved from an injection molding contract manufacturer into a full-service product development company, offering complete turnkey solutions.

Initially specializing in cabling and communication accessories for military and law enforcement, we expanded our capabilities in the late 1990s and 2000s to become a comprehensive electronics manufacturer. In the 2010s, we adopted advanced technologies like 3D printing, accelerating time to market for our clients.

In 2024, we acquired Virtec Medical, forming DEM Medical to design and manufacture Class I and II medical devices, further extending our expertise into the healthcare sector. Today, we guide clients through every stage of development—from prototyping to product launch—while ensuring a reliable U.S.-based supply chain for rugged, high-performance components. Our commitment to innovation, quality, and long-term partnerships with our clients drives everything we do.

Our Experience

At DEM, we offer innovative solutions to our customers, while providing them with the expertise required to successfully design and launch new products into the market. Having adapted to our customers’ needs, we now design and manufacture highly specialized, custom-built communications cabling and connectors, injection molded housings, voice amplification modules, push-to-talk (PTT) devices, circuit boards, and other assemblies. Focusing our attention on the process, DEM has developed best practices to be able to offer a reasonably priced solution while keeping tooling and start-up costs to a minimum. In some cases, DEM is even willing to make the investment to design, engineer and fabricate tooling for our customer’s projects thereby eliminating upfront costs to our customers. DEM prides itself on being a flexible, agile, turnkey manufacturer, and no project is too large or too small.

Our customers range from small companies to organizations with a global reach, and include market leaders in communications devices used in industrial, government, and tactical applications. We also serve the medical device community, first-responders, and the energy and industrial markets. Our customers are time-sensitive and depend on DEM to deliver their products on schedule and with uncompromising quality.
